Cosmic Coburn is run by Janessa Cockburn, a 22 year older writer from Brampton, Ontario. She began writing at a very young age as a way to cope with her surroundings, emotions and as a way to channel out all of the positive and negative energies she experienced.
From a young age her mother surrounded her with books and journals, growing up an only child writing was Janessa's first true love and unconditional friend. Through learning and incorporating writing and poetry throughout her whole life, she decided to take her thoughts and art to another level.
Throughout her University career, Janessa was prompted by her inner spirit, to create a book that took herself through the many cycles of life and love that she had gone through. Initially using it as a way to channel and express her healing journey through art.
Her Poetry Book entitled: Eye Bloom is a culmination of different experiences, cycles, love, heartbreak, pain and ultimately healing. Bringing readers through a journey of love, lust, and life’s cycles and, the journey to Bloom into the best version of yourself.
If poetry and writing was her first love, meditation was her second. As an individual who dealt with heightened anxiety, a over-stressed nervous system and outbursts of on and off depression. Meditation and sound therapy was a major healing modality for her to regain peace of mind.
After taking numerous meditation courses and classes such as Raja Yoga (Union of the Mind), Mindfulness courses and through personal education and experience, she was able to find coping methods to stand by her on her healing journey.
By infusing meditation and the powerful healing Soleggio frequencies of sound bowls, she enables herself and other to connect within and calm their mind and body. Through guided mediation sessions, follow along short meditation videos offered on her website and Instagram, she has developed a structure to help herself as well as other who may want a holistic way of reprogramming their nervous system.
